-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I know this is XFree86 specific, but I just know that you're the only ones that can get it right... Sorry if I bother some people with this. My monitor blew up, I won't have it for a week, and I got a spare here which is a old VGA (it seems). I say this because it is a 15-pin connector, and it is color. I wasn't able to configure it correctly under X, because I don't know anything about this monitor. Well, in fact I know that it is a 14" color monitor. Manufacturer: Aamazing (yes with 2 a's), model# CM-8428X. I managed to configure it as a standard SVGA, but I get a screen that is to narrow (? is that the word for "not wide"? sorry, I'm french-speaking :)), and too tall to fit on the screen. I haven't been able to fit it on the monitor, and this damn grandpa don't have anything to narrow or shorten the image... I don't know what I should do. Is there a way to find out what it really is? I don't want to burn it in unsuccessful trials. Can you help me? Thanks for your time.
