Oh, I love it! Everytime I wanted to close soemthing worthless (like some PR on the handling of formatting in emacs, which we can't do diddly about) somebody would claim we couldn't close it until it was fixed, and so we'd get more garbage in PRs. If you close worthless PRs, even if you err on the side of closing too many, I will guarantee to stand up for you. I think it's *great*.
