Differences in the command set are generally minor. You'll find Linux to
be more System V-like. Of course I'd recommend FreeBSD for religious
reasons, but you probably want Linux first.

Question should be whether Win2K will dual boot with them. :)

Both can do it. In fact, it's perfectly possible to install all three.
