Hello all, I'm trying to install a 40G Maxtor drive on my box. I can
fdisk it just fine, but when I go to do a disklabel (from within
sysinstall) it says it can't write it. So I tried to create the file
system manually by doing:
newfs -b 8192 -f 1024 /dev/wd2s1c
It starts creating the superblocks just fine, but then dies off around
when it reaches a high count (around 8000000 I believe) and gives me the
error:
panic vinvalbuf: dirty bufs
sync disks: 1 1 1 1 ...
Then it reboots :/
BTW, this is on a 3.3-R system.
TIA,
