I have no doubt there is a need for this, do you? Thus far they were
located in /tools (in picobsd scripts hierachy), and there are already
some programs there which are not "tools" strictly speaking, i.e. they are
not used as tools in building the floppy.

We need some programs which are tiny counterparts of the real stuff from
normal FreeBSD, and we need some special ones which serve unique purpose
for picobsd only. There are already some, and yesterday I begun working on
init/login and netstat replacements (init is almost done - it was far
easier than I expected).

If their number is sufficient, we could ask the powers that be to start a
new category under /ports/ themselves...
