Hi again; final question; i have created a successfull entry in my /etc/ppp/ppp.conf that will get me logged in and ppp'd up when i invoke it as ppp uw. However, if i try ppp -auto uw ( uw is the configuration name ) then telnet or ftp fail with a "no route to host". So evidently, the magic that is supposed to dial ppp is not working. Has anybody gotten this to work? tnx! ******************************************************************************* John Utz spaz@u.washington.edu idiocy is the impulse function in the convolution of life
