Which of course requires that lynx is installed, which is not a default...
The installation procedure varies depending on which media you're
installing from (CD, FTP direct, offline).

Perhaps the best place to start for someone who isn't familiar with basic
commands is http://www.freebsd.org/tutorials/newuser/newuser.html
