thanks a lot, un commenting ttyv0 - 8 in etc/ttys solved it. I now have
a nice console with sysinstall in colour!

Adding devices uart and puc, removing devices sab and zs might help.
Also make sure you have ttyvX (X = 0 - 8) in /etc/ttys.
