 You can either install teTeX 0.3.4 (which is in ports  too and has a proper
 LaTeX  from June '96) or wait  a little for  0.4 which should be out before
 the end of the month.
 
 Except  for mltex,  I don't  think  we should keep   the old tex and  latex
 ports.   Even mltex should   not be that necessary   as  Bernard Gaulle has
 modified its  french style to be  Babel compatible (haven't tried it though
 as I am waiting for teTeX 0.4 to upgrade).
