I wanted to create a FreeBSD WWW Server locally on my machine for testing purposes and trapped into some problems: A tool sgmlnorm, which is needed to convert the sgml pages into html is missing ... In freefall I found out that this tool is part of a port called st-1.0.10. But this port exists only locally on freefall ! It's not part of our ports collection. It would be very nice if the author of this st port could commit the port officially to the ports collection... Ok, for now got a copy from freefall .... But then I experienced another problems ... sgmlnorm -d -c /usr/local/share/sgml/HTML/catalog applications.sgml > applications.html sgmlnorm -d -c /usr/local/share/sgml/HTML/catalog availability.sgml > availability.html make: don't know how to make /home/www/server/logs/access_log. Stop It would be fine, if the paths in the Makefile could be changed, so that it reflects apaches default logfile paths ??? That would be great, no cdefault pathshanges would be needed then ... The apache port now has the following logfile paths: root{1014} /var/log -rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 3080490 Mar 9 15:53:18 1997 httpd-access.log -rw-r--r-- 1 root bin 62264 Mar 23 15:21:45 1997 httpd-error.log Andreas /// -- andreas@klemm.gtn.com /\/\___ Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH Andreas Klemm ___/\/\/ Support Unix -- andreas.klemm@wup.de pgp p-key http://www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/~bal/pks-toplev.html >>> powered by <<< ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/Printing/aps-491.tgz >>> FreeBSD <<<
