Subject:   DEC Alpha port of FreeBSD

In comp.sys.dec someone wrote DEC had donated Alpha hardware to
the FreeBSD project. This seems to suggest that FreeBSD will be
ported to the Alpha platform. Is this true? If it is then 
what's the status of this project?
