The original message was vague enough that it's possible that he really did overwrite the whole disk when trying to install FreeBSD. I wonder if we should put a big warning sign in the booklet that goes with the CD-ROMs. WARNING This software repartitions your hard disk. Use it wrong and you can suffer massive data loss.
