Hi i4b folks, I'm running FreeBSD-2.2.5 with i4b alpha 60 & options "TEL_S0_16" device isic0 at isa? port 0xF80 iomem 0xd6000 net irq 12 flags 2 vector isicintr pseudo-device "i4bq921" pseudo-device "i4bq931" pseudo-device "i4b" pseudo-device "i4btrc" 4 pseudo-device "i4bctl" pseudo-device "i4brbch" 4 pseudo-device "i4btel" 2 pseudo-device "i4bipr" 4 pseudo-device "i4bisppp" 4 pseudo-device sppp 2 Sometimes people who phone me after I've stopped i4b (via hang up channel & 4 for close i4b daemon) hear white noise , (I never hear it, only far end,) as soon as I pull the i4b cable the noise stops, it's not merely induction between wires, I have 2 identical isic0 cards, both do it, (one has the cable tied tight to all the others (monitor, mouse etc), one does not & is loose. An Istec-1008 TK-Anlage/PBX cohabits the isdn line & drives my phones. The problem did not occur with bisdn (I think it used to with old bisdn, but then by bisdn-097 it had gone away). What the cause is I have no idea, but having 2 isdn systems I can afford to apply & test patches to one if someone want to send diffs to try. PS currently both hosts are Creatix 16 cards, both 486, both 2.2.5, one is i4b-51, one i4b-60, both going to 2.2.6+60 soonish. Julian Julian H.
