Hope this is the right newsgroup:

I'm trying to run a Java client on an internal network that uses Socks5 for its
firewall/gateway. The Socks server is a 2.2.6 box running the socks5-1.0.3
port. I'm using jdk1.1.5-FreeBSD:1998/02/08, BTW. If I just run the client as
is, it can't talk to computers outside of the network (which it needs to do.)
I tried running java with of the 'runsocks' script that came with the socks5
port, and I get a segmentation fault. I have the full crash message if you
think it would be of any assistance. Any and all help is appreciated.
