Have tou checked an earlier/later beta. I saw the same (well your point 2
that is), left it, and it seemed gone after a roll back to the prvious 
sup. But I could see nothing obvious in a diff; apart from the way pccardd
gets inited. I.e. the Cardmem is now set to default rather than to a
specific value.
