The mpeg player smpeg doesn't work (catches a signal then just hangs) when you compile & link against the SDL which uses the native threads - however when you compile against one that uses linux threads, then it does. I've seen some problems with sdl test apps that mix sound & video when we use native threads rather than the linux threads port. Stephen -- The views expressed above are not those of PGS Tensor.
