Andrew,

My machine with Syabase has been moved elswhere, so I can't play around with
it, but no, I haven't seen this message.  Though I'm a little confused, is
this occuring during the install process, or are you trying to start the
server via svrbuild?  Did you recompile the kernel with the shared mem.
options, set the permissions/ownership to user/group sybase, enabled linux
emulation etc?

I know somebody else has been able to get 11.9.2 running under FreeBSD3.4,
so it can't be 3.4 specific.

Perhaps someone else in the database list may have come across this so I'll
try to post this there as well..
