Just wondering if anyone has successfully set up Interclient 1.6 on =
FreeBSD? I'm using FreeBSD 4.1.1 and I've got the Interbase 6/Firebird =
1.0 server running fine, but I now need to get access to this from a =
remote Java application.

I've downloaded the Linux version of Interclient which installed fine, =
but when I do a:

telnet localhost 3060

I receive the following error message:

interserver: error in loading shared libraries: libgds.so: ELF file ABI =
version invalid.

(well, after I symlinked libgds.so into /compat/linux/lib which is where =
it was looking). I've tried branding the library with brandelf to no =
avail (different error message). Perhaps if its not too hard I can play =
with creating a native FreeBSD version.

Regards,
Joe
