whoa!! hold on... I know it's not a winmodem. If you can.. don't even use plug n play, just stick to the jumpers. Also, do like some guy said earlier on the list: cd /dev sh ./MAKEDEV all (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Also, I've noticed in your dmesg you got something goofy going on with your HD. You should get that resolved. Also, throw this into your kernel source: options "CPU_FASTER_5X86_FPU" options "CPU_WT_ALLOC" this outta speed things up a little on your 5x86-133MHz pentium-wannbe CPU.
