AFAIK, the aic-7892 works just fine in 4.0-STABLE, and it has worked fine for a few months now. I'm not sure if the actual 160/m works though. This is from my dmesg: ahc0: <Adaptec 19160B Ultra160 SCSI adapter> port 0xfc00-0xfcff mem 0xfffbf000-0xfffbffff irq 7 at device 13.0 on pci0 ahc0: aic7892 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=15, 16/255 SCBs ..... da0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 da0: <SEAGATE ST39140W 1498> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device da0: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 15, 16bit), Tagged Queueing Enabled da0: 8683MB (17783240 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 1106C) Could some kind committer add a line to RELNOTES.TXT that the 19160 adapter is supported (or at least works partially) ? =========================================================================== Get off the keyboard you furry feline !
