I am trying to get JDK1.2.2 on my FreeBSD 3.4 box....(trying is the =
operative word here!)

I get the following file and untarred it:
ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/ports/java/jdk12-beta=
.tar

The file was untarred
pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/ports/java/jdk12-beta/
..
pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current/ports/java/jdk12-beta/Makefile

I cd into the directory to try to get to the makefile to do my build =
butI can not get past the '-current'

Why is the path have a funky dash '-' in it? I tried escaping it, =
everything I could think of but could not get into the directory to do =
my build.

Thanks on how to get past this problem.
