Hello list

I have a 3com/US Robotics modem, the 3CP263594A-OEM, and I want to install
it on a FreeBSD 4.3 box, but a friend has told me that the modem is a
WinModem and it only works with Windows.

Is that true? and if it is, why can't FreeBSD, or Linux, or any other UNIX,
work with it.
