GIVE ME A BREAK! Some of you Microsoft bashers are worse than > not having a clue! How about getting a life! > > Joel Well I have a few things to say in reply to your message. First of all FreeBSD was never designed to be a game console for teenage kids to play silly internet games on. You are quite obviously very new to the FreeBSD OS. If you think that FreeBSD is buggy in comparison to Windows then a few things come to my mind. A) you're a idiot that has no life and likes to play Ashron's Call. B) Hasn't taken the time to notice that FreeBSD is running on the worlds busiest web servers in the world including Hotmail [Which I might add is owned now by Microsoft and yet STILL runs FreeBSD!! I guess they knew their own OS couldn't handle it!!]Yahoo, Digital River, Geocities etc. As for Unix software being buggy, well sometimes you get what you pay for... But I can't tell you the number of times that I have bought a $50 piece of software for Windows and have it screw up everything. (Yes I use Winblows 2KPro... but only as necessary. I am striving to become FreeBSD Wizard. Just an Apprentice at the moment.) Never had that happen with FreeBSD. Now I won't say that Windows is totally useless or insecure just mostly and mostly. Looks pretty though.Unless you are running Win2K, NT, or XP it has security holes in it big enough to drive a mining dump truck through. And next you'll be telling me that you can run personal firewalls to help patch Windows deficiencies. That is a little like sticking the bank guard in the vault and expect him to do perimeter patrol. By the time the thief has broke into the vault, it's a little late to arrest him. Whoopee, the guard detected him. Too late... My own personal opinion... If you want to play games on Unix go play in the Linux sandbox with the other kiddies. (Good luck trying to figure out which one of the six billion releases is going to work for you though.)
