[-- Attachment #1 --] A question IBM's RS/6000 and AS/400 processors are 64-bit PowerPC chips with a 32-bit mode that supports Linux 2.4. Linux is supported on some RS/6000 models directly, and on some AS/400s within logical partitions. My question is whether FreeBSD will work on either RS/6000s or AS/400s wherever Linux works? Or will it require special drivers for disk, I/O, graphics, etc? Will the same drivers that work with Linux work with FreeBSD (I suspect not, but it doesn't hurt to ask.)
