I installed GNOME on FREEBSD 4.7. Running it as root is basically no problem, except that it is looking for the internet address of the localhost or has problems to find the localhost address even the /etc/hosts looks fine. Running it as normal user GNOME is loaded but not the panel, so that I always see black&white doted screen. The a.m. failure also appears here too. How do I get rid of these problems?
