Webserver Mailserver Radius (takes care of user authorisation/accounting for your modem pool) You can run all the above on one server. Modem pool Access server. You can get boards which can handle 16/32 serial ports for modems, which you can plug into the above server, but dedicated RAS hardware like Lucent is preferrable.
