after updating a server far away i had to recognize that UsePrivilegeSeparation is on by default. Updating without creating the user sshd results in refusing access becaus there is no user found for Privilege Separation. The man page says the default is NO but it is YES. This should be changed to avoid people having the same problem then me now to travel 600 km to reenable sshd. -- Best regards / Mit freundlichen Gruessen, Karl M.
