Apart from having to :) ln -s /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin /var/tmp/mplayer_pre/share/mplayer/Skin everything seems to work ok both with make install WITH_OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS=1 WITHOUT_RUNTIME_CPUDETECTION=1 WITH_GTK1=1 PREFIX=/var/tmp/mplayer_pr and make install WITH_OPTIMIZED_CFLAGS=1 WITHOUT_RUNTIME_CPUDETECTION=1 WITH_GTK1=2 PREFIX=/var/tmp/mplayer_pr It is also playing nice some files that, with the ports version of mplayer where buggy.
