Hi, This is a question that should be asked on freebsd-questions since we are not supposed to answer technical questions here. Its a list charter thing ;-) While this may seem like a simple question, it could become a bit more involved than a one line answer or a pointer to existing documentation. Openssl is included in the base system so your question really could be "How do I use openssl from the ports rather than the base system?" This is a bit more involved than just updating a single port since other things may depend on it and need to be rebuilt also. It would be helpful if you included the version of FreeBSD and Openssl that you presently have when you post to freebsd-questions. The more information you provide about what you have and what you have done or tried will get a better response. Try to be as specific as you can in your question.
