August is here. And it's raining. Woop-yay. Anyway, as it is of course the first Tuesday of the month, that means in a dark corner of a traditional ale house in the fine city of Manchester, England, *strange things* will occur. So rare, that historians will discuss at conferences in the future whether the rumours are not all merely folklore and myth: Geeks will socialise. Actually, as nobody has given me a heads-up on attendance, it could just be me sat on my own reading the paper, but hey-ho. At least I tried. Not quite so exciting for the historians, but I might give them something to talk about by attempting awkward conversation with a barmaid. Date: 1st August - TODAY Time: 7:30pm - 9pm Venue: Briton's Protection, Great Bridgewater Street, Manchester As it's raining, no beer garden likely, so scoot around looking for us.
