I am using tcsh. # tcsh --version tcsh 6.14.00 (Astron) 2005-03-25 (i386-intel-FreeBSD) \ options wide, nls,dl,al,kan,rh,color, filec I have tried scilab with and without pvm support. I now have pvm support. # cat /var/db/ports/scilab/options # This file is auto-generated by 'make config'. # No user-servicable parts inside! # Options for scilab-4.1.1_1 _OPTIONS_READ=scilab-4.1.1_1 WITHOUT_GTK2=true WITH_PVM=true I am dual boot -current and -stable on an HP Pavillion dv6446 notebook. I have a desktop with 6.2-stable and xorg 7.2. I will look at scilab there. I believe it sometimes produces the BadWindow message. I will post later about that. tomdean
