-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, I'd like to ask about how funds for hardware purchases are raised for ftp-master/mirror sites? Is it possible to approach a vendor directly and ask for a donation of a disk controller or a part needed for an upgrade. Reason for this question is that our team is running a fundraiser for upgrade of disk capacity and I'd appreciate if someone from the ftp-master admins / The FreeBSD foundation shares his/her experience. More details on the campaign are avaible on http://fyut.bg.freebsd.org 2 years ago we did locally this way: 1)announce in all channels what we need 2)Raise funds 3)Count them 4)Get out of your pocket the difference 5)Purchase Unfortunately this year 4) is not very full, so I'm seeking various ways not to get stuck with full disks after 6.3 and 7.0 are released. Thanks for your feedback, Best regards, Dimitar Vassilev Bulgarian FreeBSD mirror coordinator -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (FreeBSD) iQIUAwUBRxUhPAE91BGemX0kAQJcnQ/3Z7PPnsF/YX7J5zjsOzx1h/nKAKHOf+fC zCMw3rLPiVBtV5y+J12R/SIdPxImTiE3oELmZL0nq6pwCqPKq+Y6/P+x+Xu1m6gw pdIr4WTO9EMC9b383W3hCsv2PH0RPaOF6ZR3qlVr1A9tgdLN69FKYcUvlDeTuJ8e +57z/a/yYGDjUCYxKv9lrB5BUUuWKraTSO0BOhZYXYvCuxm8LsTcLGfuVmyFqVsZ QCxQd/5mKkdtHWXS8/sohPmmfztpsR0DygiNt/tSZKGxZuIbvtSG7jE7VeFAFEal 8A+25QV7ckLBovuX+qEheBVjzmGP+uwvW/hmYHFBkgZqneBYpXwnnduOLQd8rhjj aK/XRkBakqxLaDFf7ZS7kj0vDxtFSXP72VQ801maweIww9CYjLqH5GUdTDrFn7Vk P4DXww+o/1WuNzUSUEHcMrucdylf0DjJf9kQ9+VmNkROchbGRJitWKvErJppKqwq RlDSQ2gqz3uoV2uLhS64V5GDRApWRDuBNwbYy8iCoEUZu0R4N8i0WxAbNR6Uz9nK AEaFhqJyKK3Aeuk6bVbrrtBfiDoQlm1Ehu4CIZ5UvZbjWnJ/Fuy1Dy4DCbFK6fPI BR54VHmtvNHOS2J1CR+k4bJrPciaobtqfJ9PvtG/ldg6ApZa8G1UJpwapNymPfR7 TWTl2dDsQw== =ZJga -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Димитър Василев Dimitar Vassilev GnuPG key ID: 0x9E997D24 Keyserver: pgp.mit.edu Primary key fingerprint: CFB1 C9D4 F685 D6A9 5045 E762 013D D411 9E99 7D24help
