the last version built as rpm for fedora 10 is 1.22.3. more recent versions of
pango are available as rpms, however only for fedora > 10. [1]

they cannot be used however since there's no emulators/linux_base-f[11|12]
port. there's no such port yet, because the linux emulation layer isn't mature
enough to offer complete linux 2.6.16 compatibility. it's still missing quite
a few syscalls, ipcs, etc. [2]
