Hello;

contrib/gperf has not been updated in at least 7 years. One of the
reasons for not updating it was that the new version was written
in C++, but from I could find out the real reason is that this
program is not used at all. It was used to generate some files
for gcc that come pre generated with the latest tools in the gcc
distributions. Anyone knows about any use of this that can
justify updating it, or even keeping it?

I think this can be safely removed from the base and that
will be one less GNU piece to package and maintain.
