I'm seeing my system (Lenovo W540) freeze during boot after updating to current. Apologies for brevity; I'm typing this on a phone and will send more details after I restore my system to a bootable state. 

The last thing that shows up is launching application processors, and then the message about timestamp counters.

Disregard this report.

The root cause was unrelated to the kernel update.
