https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=211226 Bug ID: 211226 Summary: www/firefox: crashes when typing character in search or URL bar Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: gecko@FreeBSD.org Reporter: robert.ayrapetyan@gmail.com Flags: maintainer-feedback?(gecko@FreeBSD.org) Assignee: gecko@FreeBSD.org After upgrade to Firefox 41, it started to crash when typing a character in search or URL bar. This happens once in a few days. App doesn't close its windows, but starts to "flash" and doesn't accept any input. Last lines from the output are: Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf", line 70: non-double matrix element Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf", line 70: non-double matrix element Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf", line 78: saw unknown, expected number The fun part is that /etc/fonts doesn't exist (it's a /usr/local/etc/fonts in FreeBSD). I've googled and seems similar error occurs with Steam and Telegram on Linux. The conclusion in these topics was "outdated fontconfig used by app X". Wondering if something has changed in Firefox 41 fontconfig part. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
