I don't actually know anything about the freebsd kernel code, but my best guess, looking at https://svnweb.freebsd.org/base/head/sys/fs/fuse/fuse_internal.c?view=3Dmar= kup&pathrev=3D330354#l169 , is that default_permission is not actually handled at all.
