Hi Sorry double post. I make mx(amd type) cfi flash write fix. Current code is broke boot if not protected boot sector by write operation. If you use mx flash. Please check this. https://reviews.freebsd.org/D14279 Be carefull this is very dangerous. If you broke boot, It's only brick. If you do brick then you must use jtag and restore boot.
