No problems on my Thinkpad T480 (i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz).

For what it is worth, I do have devcpu-data-1.38 installed and the followin=
g in
my /boot/loader.conf:

cpuctl_load=3D"YES"
cpu_microcode_load=3D"YES"
cpu_microcode_name=3D"/boot/firmware/intel-ucode.bin"

dmesg say:

CPU microcode: updated from 0xb4 to 0xe0
