[-- Attachment #1 --] Hey there all, I'd like to start testing some of our nodes with pkgbase, but I'm not sure it's ready for prime time. If I read this document correctly, the following are all still true? https://wiki.freebsd.org/PkgBase 1) There's no way to do a from-scratch install using pkgbase. The BSD installer still uses the old .txz distribution sets, and the only way to use pkgbase is to move from a from-source or from-cd installed system to pkgbase after the fact? 2) Pkgbase doesn't really understand etcupdate or anything like it. So I'm forced to manually look for .pkgsave configuration files and adjust/merge them? 3) There's no setting to tell pkgbase to ignore certain files, correct? Please let me know. -Dan [-- Attachment #2 --] <html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=us-ascii"></head><body style="overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;">Hey there all,<div><br></div><div>I'd like to start testing some of our nodes with pkgbase, but I'm not sure it's ready for prime time.
