I have a follow-up patch which addresses another issue with the original patch. If you could test that too (reverting my first patch) I would appreciate it. It's hard to characterize the cases where the original patch or these follow-up ones will have an effect. It's timing-specific and relates to other factors like memory pressure and swap usage.
