The company I work for, Junisphere Systems AG, is looking for one or two
experienced Unix programmers for permanent full-time employment in Switzerland
(Baar near Zug, about 45 minutes from Zurich and 75 minutes from Basel),
to expand an existing team of three developers (me being one of them,
we'd work in the same office).

We're working on a distributed network monitoring application, with BSD
appliances collecting data, central statistical aggregation, web interface
and report generation. The existing codebase is C and C++ (userland,
no kernel programming involved yet), the web interface might eventually
involve some client-side code (either Java/C# or a native binary GUI).

The ideal candidate would have several years of experience with C
programming on Unix (BSD/Posix), including network programming (TCP/IP,
protocol design) and at least basic understanding of statistics (not
necessarily a math degree) and distributed systems.

A work permit could probably be arranged, but we're looking for someone
who could start to work in Baar as early as possibly (2-4 months from now).

While the company project is closed-source, participation in Open Source
projects is actively encouraged (10-30% of paid working time average, in
my experience).

If you're interested, you can contact me directly by email or phone
(mail for number) or talk to the CTO:
