Hello,

I'd like to ask when the Intel=C2=AE 82566DC NIC support is planned to be a=
dded
to 6-STABLE ?

I've got a new motherboard with this NIC and a fresh 6-STABLE was unable to=
 handle
this one, and as i've check the cvsweb there weren't any updates.

I've tried to download the em-6.5.6.tar.gz from intel and use that driver d=
irectly
by both building it into the kernel and using it as a module (of course, no=
t at the
same time :), but the compilation failed every time. The header includes we=
re borked
up in the source, i've somehow fixed that, but there were some other compil=
ation
errors, couldn't find macros and such.

So, the question would be, when will be the em(4) driver going to be updated
to support the newer NICs?

Sincerely,

Gergely Czuczy
