My new 366Mhz ThinkPad 600E works great, although I haven't (yet) tried to get sound working, I don't expect to have any problems. It required one minor change to the kernel to recognize my PCCARD/CardBus controller, but that will be part of FreeBSD 3.2 soon to be released. I recommend IBM's whole-heartedly.
