I can't offer you any specific advice, but I cannot offer my support enough. I work for an organization (also government) that absolutely REFUSES to allow any non-Windows machine on the network. I have tried, as you are doing, on several occasions to convince or even allow the trial otherwise. I have tried claiming that it won't interfere, that my productivity will be increased, stability, that I have them coexisting at home, etc, etc. I have been unsuccesul to date. But, for some reason, they are absolutely convinced that Windows is the way of the future for their networks and will not consider otherwise. I find the close-mindedness very disheartening. In any case, I don't intend this message to discourage you - I wish you all the best. If I can be of any assistance, let me know. I just thought it might help you know that others have the same problems. (On a COMPLETELY UNRELATED NOTE, if anyone knows of a job in the Vancouver, Canada area which is more UNIX friendly and openminded, please let me know. :-) ) Good luck, -- Jeremy When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. -- Samuel Johnson To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
