This should not be a problem with the newest bootblocks, I think.

When the BIOS geometry and FreeBSD geometry is out of sync, everything
seems to work fine, until the system won't boot.  This problem is not
there with 'dangerously dedicated' partitions.

Also, you get a trifle more space and a trifle faster boot, but that
is less important.
