Would this problem cause any panics during 'shutdown -p' processing? I just loaded up a brand new machine with 5.3-RC1, and it works fine except that it almost always panics when I do a 'shutdown -p'. I just finished building a new world to make sure I have all the latest changes, but I haven't installed that yet. Should I rebuild the kernel with this change included? (the machine does not panic during standard 'shutdown -r' processing, only for 'shutdown -p'. It has a gig of memory now, so I kinda doubt it has anything that it needs to swap in.) -- Garance Alistair Drosehn = gad@gilead.netel.rpi.edu Senior Systems Programmer or gad@freebsd.org Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or drosih@rpi.edu
