Or do like some strange ham and actually put a GPS antenna on a tripod 
over a USGS marker and correct his house from there. Dad loves this.
He's had to throw out over a month's worth of monitoring work because the
accuracy went up. Five GPSes and counting... Two DGPS recievers :-)
