Hello!

You can use the -o parameter of truss to specify a file where the
output should go to.

Have you tried installing bash, either via port or package? You can
also check /etc/shells to see which shells are installed on your system.

I wonder if recompiling the poedit port would solve the problem, but
it might take some time.
