Hi guys:

This has probably been asked many times before, but I can't seem to locate
any info, so I thought I'd ask the list for some pointers. The Handbook
mentions the availability of binary patchkits for releases that fix
security problems and major bugs. I understand fully that the Handbook can
be out of date at times, but this would be really helpful, as I manage a
fleet of FreeBSD appliances scattered across the country. Each appliance
includes an auto-update utility that brings my software up to date, and it
would be great if I could send along a package that would also bring
FreeBSD up to date simultaneously.

Does anyone currently maintain such patchkits, or can someone suggest an
easy way of creating them? I've thought of many ways of doing this, but
they are all pretty difficult and cumbersome.

This is the one thing Windows has over FreeBSD...
